Hey! I'm Conan and I'm the founder of The History Buffs. While I am not a historian (I majored in Business and Japanese lol) I spend much of my free time studying history - because I find it so entertaining. I wanted to channel my years of studying into something, so I created this newsletter.

While I enjoy all periods of history, I particularly like learning about the early-modern era. Besides history, I enjoy basketball, video games, and hiking. Click my face and follow me on Twitter!

I am an independent researcher and host of the History of Persia podcast, covering the history Iranian empires from 700 BC to 700 AD. I am particularly interested in the rise of Darius the Great in 6th Century BC. In 2019, I got my BA in History and Classical Studies from the University of Rhode Island and started graduate work at Washington University in St. Louis.

When not invested in the stories of ancient history, I can usually be found near or beneath my dog and cat. For more information, see HistoryOfPersiaPodcast.com
